Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella is an Indian-born American business executive who has been leading Microsoft as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since February 2014, succeeding Steve Ballmer.  Born on August 19, 1967, in Hyderabad, India, Nadella pursued a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. He furthered his education in the United States, earning a Master of Science in computer science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Nadella's career at Microsoft began in 1992, where he played pivotal roles in the company's transition to cloud computing. As the executive vice president of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group, he was instrumental in developing and overseeing the company's computing platforms.  Under his leadership, Microsoft has shifted its focus towards cloud computing, resulting in significant acquisitions like LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in 2016.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Nadella authored the book "Hit Refresh" in 2017, where he discusses his life, career at Microsoft, and his vision for the future of technology.  His leadership has been recognized globally; in 2022, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award.
