Mustafa Suleyman, born in August 1984, is a British entrepreneur recognized for his significant contributions to the field of artificial intelligence (AI). He co-founded DeepMind Technologies in 2010 alongside Demis Hassabis and Shane Legg. DeepMind quickly became a leader in AI research and was acquired by Google in 2014 for approximately £400 million, marking one of Google's largest European acquisitions at the time.
At DeepMind, Suleyman led the Applied AI division, focusing on integrating the company’s cutting-edge technologies into real-world applications. He also launched DeepMind Health, which aimed to improve healthcare delivery through clinician-led technology partnerships with the NHS and other institutions.
In 2022, Suleyman co-founded Inflection AI with Reid Hoffman and Karén Simonyan, focusing on building AI systems that enable more natural and emotionally intelligent interactions between humans and machines. The company developed Pi, a personal AI assistant designed to offer support and remember user conversations.
