Jensen Huang

Jensen Huang, born on February 17, 1963, in Taipei, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese-American businessman and electrical engineer renowned for co-founding Nvidia Corporation in 1993. As of 2025, he continues to serve as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).


Huang's early life saw him moving from Taiwan to Thailand before emigrating to the United States at the age of nine. He pursued electrical engineering, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University in 1984 and a Master's degree from Stanford University in 1992.Under Huang's leadership, Nvidia has become a dominant force in the graphics processing unit (GPU) industry, significantly impacting gaming, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing sectors. In June 2024, Nvidia's market capitalization reached $3.34 trillion, surpassing Microsoft to become the world's most valuable company. This achievement elevated Huang's net worth to an estimated $114.5 billion by February 2025, positioning him as the 14th wealthiest individual globally.​


Beyond his corporate endeavors, Huang is recognized for his philanthropic contributions. In 2022, he donated $50 million to Oregon State University to establish a supercomputing institute, and he has made significant donations to Stanford University and the Oneida Baptist Institute.

Huang's contributions to technology and leadership have earned him numerous accolades, including the IEEE Founders Medal in 2020 and the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering in 2025. In 2021 and 2024, Time magazine named him one of the world's most influential people.
