Hinton completed his undergraduate degree in experimental psychology at Cambridge University and earned his Ph.D. in artificial intelligence from the University of Edinburgh. He has held influential academic roles, notably at the University of Toronto, where he is now University Professor Emeritus. He has also served as a Vice President and Engineering Fellow at Google.
Throughout his career, Hinton has supervised and mentored some of the most influential figures in artificial intelligence, including Alex Krizhevsky and Ilya Sutskever, who together created AlexNet.
